About Me
Jana Middlebrook
HCPC Registered Orthotist | BSc (Hons) Prosthetics & Orthotics | MBAPO
I qualified from the University of Strathclyde in 2012 and began my career at Nottingham University Hospitals, developing experience across diabetes, neurology, major trauma, and paediatrics.
I later joined Dudley Group Hospitals, working within Stroke Rehabilitation and Spasticity Management services. This developed a strong clinical focus in neurological orthotics and rehabilitation.
For the past eight years, I have worked as an Orthotics Academy Clinician with Ottobock, supporting clinicians across the UK and Ireland with complex neurological and orthopaedic cases. This role has included delivering national training programmes and lecturing at UK universities on advanced orthotic technologies including stance control orthoses, FES, neuromodulation, and orthopaedic orthotic solutions.
My experience across clinical practice, education, and rehabilitation services provides a broad understanding of modern orthotic care.
Today, through Severn Orthotics, I provide specialist neurological and orthopaedic orthotic assessment, treatment, and ongoing support across Shropshire.
Outside the Clinic…
I’m constantly on the go as a mum to two young children. I enjoy staying active through hockey, tennis, and running or hiking in the Shropshire countryside. I aim to stay active with my children and encourage them to enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle.
